Greg Geiger is an American abstract painter and photographer. His current body of work explores the relationship between color, perception and symbolism. Having traveled throughout the Western United States throughout his life, he feels his more recent work has been matured and tempered by that experience. Geiger currently operates his studio practice within the Downtown Historic District of Rapid City, SD.
Geiger has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in art centers, galleries and alternative art spaces across the United States including the Bison Legacy Gallery in Cody, WY, the Dahl Art Center in Rapid City, SD, the Emerge Gallery in Denver, CO, Alternative Fuel in Rapid City, SD and the South Dakota Governor's Biennial Art Exhibition, Sioux Falls, SD. In addition, his paintings and prints are in private collections in the United States.
Gregory Scott Geiger was born in Everett, WA in 1967. He studied Fine Art at Pratt Institute School of Art & Design, Brooklyn, NY and Advertising Design at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA. He earned his BFA in Painting with a minor in Photography from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD in 1990.
